This is my 57th year as a mother! Wow that is a long time for sure and each year it only gets better as I watch my daughters mother my grandchildren! Being a mother is truly a gift given by Our Lord! Oh, yes, of course there are days, especially during the teenage years that you might find yourself thinking…really Lord, this is a tough one!!

The featured picture is that of my own earthly mother at the age of 90! ( I should be so lucky to hit that age ). I am grateful for all of her guidance, her sacrifices, her expertise in teaching me what I needed to know and a great role model of faith.

We also have our beautiful heavenly mother, Mary. I talk to her often asking her for her intercession and for my gratitude for her guidance. There is a song that I used to sing as a young woman honoring Mary. It goes like this:
